Default Part Suggestions

I'm a new Bonneville owner, and this is going to be my first time ever adding performance parts to a car. I'm basically looking for ideas for some of the simpler, cheaper upgrades before i go tearing apart my engine. So basically anything bolt on.

I know for sure the first thing I'm doing is upgrading to a K&N filter.

I would like to upgrade my rear drums to disks and I was wondering if anybody here has recommendations on what kit to get and where to get it. I would like to get slotted and cross drilled rotors, but Im not sure what I should do for calipers and brake pads.

Also I would like to upgrade my supercharger pulley and belt, but I'm not sure where to get a pulley kit or what size I should get. What is the best size of pulley to get for a 97 supercharged bonneville? Also I was told that I'd need to chip the car if I did this and I have no idea what type of chip. Would a Jet Performance Module chip work?

Is it possible to put headers on a bonneville engine? if so any reccomendations on what ones and any recommendations on what aftermarket exhaust system i should run?

And last but not least I was thinking about installing an intercooler. Any reccomendations?

Give that a read first.
Before you get a K&N check out the intake options. A good safe pulley size would be a 3.5. You should get minimal knock retard with that and some basic mods(intake, spark plugs...). As far as upgrading your brakes there is a reason they came with drums from the factory: rear disc was not needed. The only reason I can think to switch to rear disc is so you can spend more money on rotors and pads.
For a chip you need a reflashed PCM, there are a few vendors you can go with, shop around, ask for opinions(theres a lot!) and go with what you feel comfortable with. Same with headers, there are a few companies that offer them. However the headers were not designed for an H-body and a few things will need to done to get them to fit.

Start off with a good tuneup and a scantool to scan your PCM for KR.

I have a thread going as well...same motor as in your 97....
