Overdue ZZP PCM review. (short one)
I have yet to get a good scan, but I thought I'd give a entry level review of the ZZP standard PCM (w/rear o2 DTC delete).
First off, I have been fairly happy.
Top speed governor has been removed, the shift points have been moved up, but only in normal shift mode (which has now become performance shift -seems ZZP doesn't realize the SSEi'* came standard with Normal shift AND Performance shift modes). :?
Might not be all that bad of thing in my case, considering I didn't end up upgrading my valvetrain, but I must say, 102 MPH in second gear in Normal shift mode may be a little high (6000 rpm).
Fuel mileage seems to be kinda poor, but I have never taken a true measurement. (Gas ain't cheap and I only put in what I need to get where I'm going and back, with maybe 2 gallons to spare) Typically I figure I'm getting around 20 mpg on the freeway. No CEL and no codes either.
That'* about it for now, but if anyone has questions post up. I am hoping to get a thorough scanning here, hopefully this weekend. I'll post up the results.... I am running the stock 3.8" pulley, MAF screen in, and the only mods are 3" DP, no cat, 3" hf resonator, 3" piping almost all the way to the stock replacement IMCO muffler, and a WAI with a K&N RE-0810 9" cone (3" pipe to TB), and the ZZP PCM. I am going to swap a 180* t-stat in also, as I am supposed to be running one with the PCM and should have one to get a more proper scan.

Looking forward to seeing your scans. I'd like to see how your fuel trims, fueling, O2'*, knock, spark and VE shape up--particularly on a WOT run (but watch that KR!)
I agree that 6000rpm shift point at the top of 2nd may be a bit high without a cam or rockers and some springs...but the scan will tell!
Does it feel like it'* "gasping" at the tops of the gears?
Be sure to log:
A/F
ECT
FT Cell
Gear
IAT
Injector PW
KR
LTFT
MAF (in mass/time units if possible, though Hz is OK, as I can probably find the MAF table for your car)
MAP(kPa)
MPH
O2 (front)
RPM
Spark
STFT
TP %

I installed a zzp PCM a couple weeks ago and sent it back for re-tune. My car does not come with the normal/performance shift function, yet for some reason they thought it did, so it was shifting out of 1st at 5500. I'm waiting for it to be sent back, hopefully they fixed this. I also noticed that if you do any WOT runs, the PCM seems to want to run rich well after you resume regular highway cruising. On a trip back from the dragstrip last weekend, I was barely getting 21-22 mpg when I normally can hit 27+. Not sure if that is also normal on a stock PCM. You'd think it would be smart enough to realize you are in cruise control after a few minutes.

The gas mileage issues may have to do with how they're enabling PE (performance enrichment). My guess is they're going purposely pig-rich, and keeping PE enabled at relatively low TP% / low rpm, so as to avoid leanness and knock at all costs (well, YOUR cost in fuel ).
In addition to WOT runs, scan some "slow rolls" into 25%, 50%, 75% throttle, followed in some instances by slow rolls out of throttle, and in other instances by instant let off of throttle. This will tell alot about how PE is working for you.
Again, the scans should tell.

Another thing I forgot to mention are the kick-*** 3-1 and 4-2 downshifts. Bad part is when rolling into the throttle at 25mph in 3rd gear it downshifts into 2nd, and then stab it to full throttle at 30-35 it won't down shift into first. :? Yet it will do a 3-1 downshift at 40 mph in normal shift (performance shift only allows for a downshift into 1st at speeds up to 35-36 mph.
