There'* a shocked look at says "OMG what'* that noise? Did he put a jet engine in that?"

Mine was horrid untill I pulled the TB and gave it a full cleaning... I pulled the sensors, and the IAC, I cleaned the IAC passage as good as humanly possible, and then I cleaned the pintle tip of the IAC without cahanging or altering its setting... Reassembles everything and started it, it made half as much noise as it did before...

Might be something for you guys to try..

Thanks JR,

I was hoping a clean TB would help. I planned to work it over good while installing the pipe but I had to wait for my gasket to come in. I will shine that baby up and see how it sounds.

Yeah I get that noise on cold start ups kinda anoying but it goes away pretty quickly I don't care that much.

I just installed a CAI on my SE tonight. I'm so glad you made this post, which I read before I did the install, or I would have thought I'd broken something for sure! It sounds like it'* snorkeling underwater when it'* cold. But it doesn't last long at all, in less than a minute it was quiet. And OMG did the CAI ever make a difference! I'm making another post with pictures of my install.
