Default OOOOHHH That suckin' sound

Do you notice any change in sound with the installation of a ricer tube and a K&N? Mine sounds nice at WOT as you would expect but it makes an irritating noise at idle that is noticable from inside with windows up.

A heat shield should quiet things down a bit. What does yours sound like at idle?

You should hear that noise at idle when the car is cold...

Most of the volume increase when it is cold is caused by the IAC valve being so wide open. It doesn't need to be so open to keep the car running when it'* warm.

If your supercharged, its amazing, never been in an NA with a CAI, but im sure its similar in the sense that, any intake is loud...some just whine more than others..

I know what you mean about the sound. It seems like a lot of the folks here like it.. I don't really. It makes the car sound "junky." it'* just so loud.. that sucking sound. But, it does sound AWESOME under heavy throttle. I just wish you could get that awesome WOT sound without the annoying idle sound.
