Default Oil Breather

Ok, seen a few sigs that say they include an oil breather. What is this, what does it do and is it worth it?

Thanks

Oil breathers dont do much with a fuel injected car other than look neat.

I have one on my car, and it is purely for looks. Smellbird is right. Some older cars needed them for venting gases or something like that. It just replaces the oi fill cap with a small breathable filter. Not real functional. New cars get no use of them at all. Just a nasalgec(sp?) accessory.

If you got some money to burn, dress up your engine with one.
