Recently I have been discovering 2nd gear for city driving, I find the pick up is much nicer and when accelerating from a coast the car has a lot of jump. This is due to tq managment being disabled in 2nd gear.
What I would like to do, is disable tq management across the board. Now OBDII have to be reprogrammed in order to make this happen. Is there any other way to achieve my goal? And..how willing are shops going to be to do this reprogramming of the PCM?
Thoughts?

Besides the obvious Jet Module and/or hooking up a laptop to your car and reconfiguring the chip yourself, I really dont know.
But having your car in 2nd is better in the city? Hmm, you think that applies to Bonne'*?

Twister, my car revs really high due to its gearing ratio, so I find in 2nd gear, the car is revved +2000 RPM, and I can just coast, and if I have to go, a simple tap on the gas and the car really jumps.
I am going to look into custom burns for these cars.
Thanks guys

the only reason why it feels like that is because it'* in higher RPM'* and doesn't have to downshift to accelerate. Many times at around, say, 30 MPH the car is in third gear but if you want to accel. it downshifts so it can accel. easier. By leaving it in second it'* quicker response. It'* the same thing as when you drive around in 1st. you can push on and off of the gas and it'll throw you around if you wanted to. (but it'll still shift to 2nd if in you select 1st
Jim you're gonna have to know exactly what TQ mgmt is doing before you can attempt to do anythign about it. I think with such a lightly modded car, you could do much more in other areas for the cost.

Are you sure TQ Mgmt is disabled in 2nd? What makes you think this? You will always getter better pull the lower the gear you are in. By leaving it in second you keep the car from shifting up into 3rd or 4th at 45mph (depending on your shift points). If you stay around 2k rpm this is great however if you start to get up into > 3k then you are burning more fuel and degrading your mpg. I like to leave the car in 3 unless im getting out on the highway or greater than 45mph. This gives me the quicker response due to the lower gear (dont have to wait for the downshift, or even go into PE mode to get the shift to happen) and then i just pop it up into D when I want to cruise.
