Many people on CGP are saying the same thing.
This discussion just started today at PDXCGP as well. I linked this topic for that one.

It just doesn't look very well thought-out from a flow perspective. It'* as if only diameters of runners and collectors were considered.

Didn't someone flow test the stock manifolds and find that the rear actually flowed worse then the front? Did we ever get confirmation on that?

I wouldn't be too worried about the pipe orientation, they are not meant to be headers and the price reflects that. Stock manifolds are usually set up this way.

That'd be me. I just got finished SII PEMS flow tested and it turns out that the #'* were backwards. :(

New #'* are:

SII front cast iron:

Pre port/ceramic: 256 CFM
Post port/Ceramic: 288 CFM

SII Rear tubular:

Pre port/ceramic: 302 CFM
Post Port/Ceramic: 322 CFM

Now the interesting part is to get one of ZZP'* and have it flow tested on the same machine. HMMM.

Maybe on your mod weekend I should just try the front pem. then race Sat night. Would it be a benefit to have both sides flowing the same rate (or closer together)?

That makes sense Marty...but seeing the manifolds up close and then the numbers they gave you before...it didn't seem possible that the front outflowed the rear. Glad that'* cleared up.

I think it was trans.

Heck...I'd pick one up for him... But he doesn't need a better flowing manifold.
