Changing a cam in the car is harder. Lot less room. If you have access to a old cam bolt, weld a small pipe to it. Makes a perfect cam removal tool. I had to drop my cradle then lower the engine until I had the room to slide it out the wheel well.

BTW guys the lower conversion kit I recommended has the front and rear cover gaskets, front and rear main'*, oil pan gasket, pick up tube gasket, oil filter adapter gasket, spare coolant elbow o-rings etc etc. Funny part is at Advance, it'* cheaper than the oil pan gasket alone.
I say 3.8" pulley because then you don't have to change it. Most top swap guys start out 4.3" etc, since you have the cam to move air... you should be able to sneak by.
Gaskets are gaskets, don't consider them reusable. If the timing chain has 4K on it, ok, reuse that. Definately missed the coolant elbows (they are standard items on my shelf) and get some 50 weight oil or a bottle of cam lube. If you go with the ZZP kit, keep in mind they give you bolt lube and no cam lube.
Dan, did you make a cam install tool? I love the one I made when I did my cam. Pipe, bolt and a few moments with a welder.

Looking for $2800, have about $5 invested.
Call your local parts stores. Give them this part number CS9917.............Lower Conv gasket set (96-99)................
Found these under "Cam and Valvetrain"

BTW, This weekend I was doing a good amount of work (engine/trans pull/Reinstall) and did another set of valve cover gaskets from ZZP. There'* something about them that isn't right. This set, like the last were tight in the cover and didn't feel right overall. I have a Fel Pro one on the shelf for my car and even in feeling they are different. I got pics but haven't had a chance to load them yet. Will show you guys what I'm talking about when I have a chance.

Ya, I'd like to see those pictures. I used the ZZP cam install kit and the valve cover gaskets gave me no trouble at all. Only thing I didn't like is no rubber grommets. Good thing I had a spare set.
