Default Muffler - What do you got and how does it sound?

I want to get a nice sounding muffler on my Bonneville but I don't want anything to outrageously loud. I would greatly appreciate if you guys & gals tell me what you got and how it sounds.

Thanks alot, Ed

I just got a flowmaster 80 series. I like the sound of it a lot, but I don't have any sound clips to post for you.

As for volume, to tell the truth, I am disappointed it is not a little louder on my car. But it might just be quiet because I just have turn downs instead of tips coming straight out the back. Also it probably doesn't help that I haven't done anything on the intake end. But that will be fixed soon

Go to Meinkie and get some mellow sounding mufflers. The 80 series I got kinda drowns everything out around 2-3k rpms, and it sounds sweet at idle.

Thanks for the link BonneMeMN. And as for the flowmaster 80 series, I'm almost afraid to put those on my car. A friend of mine put two of those with no cats on his 92 SSEi and it was "nuts!"

Keep your resonator, and up grade to a hi flow cat and you'll be just fine.

Here'* what my 95 sounds like with the Flowmaster 80, stock cat, and resonator:

BORLAS.........sounds awesome. I had series 40 flows on my GTP and these sound a hundred times better. Not very loud but a nice deep rumble.
