Default MSD DIS-4 Ignition Control

I was wondering what people thought about the MSD DIS-4 ignition control? I'm not eagerly running out to change this, just gauging usefulness.

I figured it was not worth doing, but I'm really fact finding on what mods I can do, and what mods I can afford so I can figure out where I'm going to invest in the car come spring time. Thanks for the input folks.
