HAHAHAHAHAHA you guys love pickin on the new guy huh.. well the oil runs works great.. my car seems to start faster/run smoother, and quieter.. so ill see how many miles until i have to change it... it vairys sometimes its 3400 miles other times its 5000. depends on how hard i put the petal down and the weather... but so far it works good.

With my mobile 1 I had about 5000 and it still looked very clean, up until I ran some sea foam threw, then iti was BLACK. I could have gotten a lot more miles out of it. Synthetic oil is the best way to go. They stay slippery and clean much longer then standard oil.

We've had several "synthetic oil life" discussion here in the past. I use to let mine go to 5000. But after I have read a ton of info on the net, and reviewed some very detailed analysis supported studies that prove out that synthetics actually work better than when new in the 7-10,000 range, I now let my DIC oil monitor do it'* job. It has been telling me my oil life is up in the 9-10,000 range.
Speaking of internet info, here'* an independent lab study/analysis paper thats shows a variety of FedSpec tests and how a wide range of commercial products did in them. Royal Purple shows as a good starter, but falls behind many other brands in tests designed to show how the oils do as wear/severe duty goes along. It doesnt do so well in the long run with alot of brands ahead of it in key tests. The sure winners were Amsoil and Mobil One. I'm still going over the pages, a good read.

They aren't picking on you with the Barney crack. That was aimed a me.
Ehhh one of them drives a DeathStar where you hope you don't hear a boom, each time you press the nitrous button and the other.. pffft He still has training wheels. =0)
ps.. I just realized I don't have the PDM logo in my siggy here. Off to insert it. Barney is my sig is a long standing joke. Back a couple years every person that turned a wrench on their car started using their last name and motorsports or something else similar and I was joking around with a very talented buddy of mine. The sig pic is the result.

DeathStar!,...... That was Funny. One for Boost. And ya, @ 40k I often wonder about the NOS. Good to see PDM back, BTW.
Ya that site was Very informative. First, I never thought much of Amsoil. Proven wrong again. Nor did I think Mobil One was that much better than alot of synthetics. Given my habits and the mileage my "DeathStar" is racking up, I'm gonna stop looking at WallyWorld for the specials.
