Well thanxs for being good natured about it
. I just dont think Royal Purple is a good move at $8 bucks a quart. I have used several synthetics over the nearly 40k on my GXP. Havent felt any difference on the old "butt dyno". But saved a few bucks getting whatever name brand synthetic is on sale at WallyWorld including MobilOne/Castrol/Valvoline.... and even NAPA synthetic. They are all good. What does make my butt feel a difference is my nitrous, and at $50 a bottle. I need to save all I can...

Keep in mind that 1% to 2% is well within the margin of error on a dyno. My guess is much of that increase came from a colder engine. There are far to many variables when it comes to HP, Air time, timping, fuel, you name it. Take 5 dyno pulls and you will get 5 different results, even if you make no changes. Royal purple is over priced, not worth $7+ per quart. That may have changed, when I looked that'* what they wanted.

If you can get it at a good price, then feel free to use it. I don't know of any club members running royal purple. Most run Mobil 1. So let us know how it works.
