i have a 95 bonneville, installed a 99 grand prix gt engine into it, the only mod ive done is the cold air intake, gave me lil boost !! is it worth trying to put a supercharger on it and if so what else would have to be done to the engine without really breaking my pockets ? sometimes i get a lead foot, jus want a lil more hp !!!

there a lot you can do about it you have a good engine and the 95 bonny is very light but youre pcm is obd1,5 and there not much tuning for it but the basic bolt on will work just fine

well i actually had to switch the pcm also cause after i got the engine instaled it'll run for afew hours then it jus started shutting down while i was driving or sitting at idle ! so thats when i took it back to the shop and the told the guy wut it was doin, and i asked him if the pcm would have anything to do with it shutting down cause i know enough to diagnose a vehicle myself and everything that i checked that i thought i would make it shut down was fine. so he ordered a pcm for the 99 grand prix and i havent had any problems since ! so does it still matter that i changed the pcm if a 99 is obd 2 ?

Huh? The 99 PCM shouldn't actually work on there without some work...the 95 has a completely different transmission.

not to mention the fact that one is OBD-I and the other is OBD-II?

Seeing as no one else covered this part. No, not worth the work putting a supercharger on there. You would be better off changing teh whole engine and tranny, as well as the PCM. It'* not something you can just bolt on and go.

So who did all the wiring? Since those two PCM'* are totally incompatible with each other, dozens of wires would have to be spliced in. I think you either misunderstood your mechanic, or he has no clue what he'* talking about. If your PCM is still under the dash on the right hand side and there are no splices, you don't have a 99 PCM in that car, nor would there be any advantage with the 99 motor and/or 95 PCM. In fact, the PCM in the 95 on the L36 is the least-restricted factory programming the L36 ever saw.

Sell the car and buy an SSEi if you're thinking of a supercharger. There are other options, but that is by far the cheapest.
