Two routes to go here Slick. Alter the ride height mechanism, or cut the air lines from the compressor and tee them to a Schrader Valve mounted in the trunk and fill them to desired height. The OEM springs should be fine.

The front springs cant go much lower given the width of the tire, it almost hits stock in a hard turn. My setup was designed to camber in when it lowers to allow fenderwell clearance. And the tire are starting to show it because I ride around town so low. Planning on flipping them soon even though they are directional, to get all the rubber I can out of them @ $245 a piece. Wont be getting RSA'* again.

ok I need the ELC shaft PN or I need to know if the ELC is the same from the 04-05 to the 00 03

Had to post this here BUT I have a way around the ELC... it has been done and will be done again..... I will tell you it involves a litle machining of the leveling rod. A friend I just spoke to today has just done this to a 07 STS V and has done it to several other caddy'* at his shop... Guess where I'll be going as soon as he finds me some rear springs...
You should have posted this in your own thread. I think a rod with a turnbuckle in the middle of it would work even better. You can have some adjustment leeway. Possibly you could even find a turnbuckle the diameter of the existing rod and cut the OEM rod and thread it. I have seen Lincoln Towncars that have airshock leaks and they really sat low. I really dont think you even need to replace the rear springs,.... just shorten the ELC rod for the drop you are thinking of. I cant drive mine slammed except in a straight line. . I am not trying to put a monkey wrench in your plans R GXP, I'm just trying to get you to go a different route that seems more tenable. Let'* put this discussion back on track in it'* proper thread .
Why are You looking for a new rod ? Too keep the old one just in case? It might be listed in GM parts direct, I'll look tomorrow, right now I'm whispering sweet nothings into a 12 pack.

It'* gonna cost a bit for one. And You will only get one shot. You'll need to get an idea of how much to shorten it? And what the length taken from the rod corresponds to in length dropped. I'm really interested in this and if my ELC system was intact, I'd be out on the ground playing with that lever. And wondering if the OEM springs can be left intact. My Park Ave sat pretty low after sitting in the back 40 for awhile without a Battery in it. I am wondering though, if the rear shock will have enough throw left staying as is, and if running on such low pressure will give you adequate stability and ride. How far are you thinking of dropping the car?

I would like to get my hands on one working of not so that I can send it to the machinist and have him make new rods.. Since he has made rods for the STS he should have a ball park on what I need to go about 1.5 inches lower in the rear.
