Well I decided the next performance mod before a new PCM needed to be a FWI.. I also decided that MANY people are WAY overpaying for FWI and Cold Air Intakes from sites out there, so I spent the whole afternoon experimenting with size, length, filter size, etc..comming up with a design that works great, looks even better, sounds great, performs great, AND since I figured some of you may be interested, I can make and ship to you guys for WAY WAY less than any other FWI out there...we are talking under $100 everything including NEW K&N filter and Custom painted/Clear coated in any color you choose.
First I wanted to make something to keep the factory Rubber Grommet attached to the throttlebody with the IAT, so I didn't need to worry about loosing that or re-mounting that.
I absolutely did not want a plastic hose like intense sells.. I am all about appearance so I wanted to make something that was Much sexier than any bumpy unpainted plastic tubing
Since I run a business that does paint work and I love doing anything I can on my own car I wanted to make an intake that could be painted in ANY color..
I did not want a Warm Air intake.. I wanted a TRUE Fender Well Intake.. and be able to secure my PCM without the need of buying a $15-25 tray.
I wanted a Good K&N Cone Filter on the end.
So here are the results:

Now since I have had several people sending me their tail lights to get tinted etc.. I figured this would also be something people might want for their car. I know everyone wants to save money when it comes to modding their cars I wanted to be able to make these in bulk and sell them to anyone that wants one, and wants a FWI that looks great too.
It will come with everything needed.. take it out of the box and follow the instructions with pictures I will have included, AND secure your PCM without purchasing a tray.. you need to do no modifying, purchasing of additional items, nothing. I have done the experimenting, trial and error, testing sizes of filters etc so for anyone that does not want to go out and figure out how to make your own, but wants to be able to customize the appearance of their own FWI then this is your best bet..(will need a few hand tools obviously to remove your old air box, as you would with the installation of any intake)
Installs on a 2000+ bonneville 3800 L36 or L67 in under 30 minutes and sounds AWESOME! (May be able to install on older models.. will have to look into it)
Butt dyno tells me responsiveness has definately picked up, seems to have more get up and go from a standstill, and it sounds great at WOT. Can't wait to get a tune now!
If you want one, I will sell it painted and cleared everything included including the new K&N filter in any color for $90 + shipping (so prob around $100-105 shipped depending where you are)
The pics above are just some quick pictures: I just did black for mine right now.. will prob do a different color later on, but I really just wanted it on the car lol. Will have better pics later.
Comments are welcome!
Will Have 3 more ready to go this week probably.. just need paint colors and I will work on them in my spare time.. if no one is interested I plan to list them on Ebay for $125 + shipping.
If you are interested, PM me with any questions. Thanks!

Looks very nice. Is that a PVC pipe? I believe safe operating temps on that is around 180*. Close but should be safe in the engine compartment. I seem to remember monitoring the engine bay temp and I was getting about 140* or so when parked.
