Bar is short for Barometric Pressure and is referenced at one atmosphere. So if static pressure is 14.7 psi, that is one Bar, then you could add 14.7 psi boost to make it two Bar. What this means is that anything over 14.7 psi boost is not something the PCM is capable of dealing with using conventional programming.

You might want to use another source to verify your boost. If you don't have another guage you can try this;

Calculating Boost(psi) using AutoTap.

1. In AutoTap measure Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP)(in Hg) and Barometric Pressure(in Hg) and save the log.
2. Export your log from AutoTap to CSV format.
3. Open in MS Excel and setup a formula for Boost(psi):
(Absolute Pressure (MAP)(in Hg) - Barometric Pressure(in Hg))*.4911540775.

The MAP sensors are mounted on a bracket attached to the rear of the supercharger, just above the valve cover. They should have a white connector.
