The custom silicon coupler with built in IAT bung sells for 50, the clamps included are about 4 dollars a piece which brings your calculated total to 162, which according to your logic means we make 18.00 a kit (its actually a bit more than that but still less than a 20% margin).

When you figure Thrasher'* kit and SLP'* kit and the wizair kit are as much ore more and ours performs better it is worth the price IMO.

As for the ambient temp of the IAT sensor, only the part doing the measuring really matters and if air is constantly moving over it, it will eventually become the temp of the air moving across it. The outside of the IAT temp sensor will become as hot as the ambient engine bay temps.
