yeah well i removed the screen and what a difference it made, i can still hear that sound but my car is noticably faster and the exhaust is deeper. will the heat sheild make more of a difference? if is there a good se of directions on how to make one and how much it will cost

How'* your idle? Did you reset the PCM?

the heatshield will help 1000000% by drawing in the cold air

here is my heatshield.....its insulated along with the pipe

If you don't use a heatshield to make it a TRUE CAI, you're better off going back to the stock airbox.

yeah i have a temporary heat sheild, just some of that silver insulation but i plan on making a good one this week.

my idle is fine and why would i have to reset the pcm?

Cause it normally affects how the MAF reads. If I take my screen out without resetting the PCM, it won't idle at all, even if I do reset it, it'* still rough.

Yours seems fine, though.
