intake question
if i cut some holes in the plastic intake box, will it help horsepower, or give me any performance gain? i would like to do a rice pipe, but dont have money now! thanks!

i never noticed any difference after i gutted mine, but then again yours is totally different, the main thing i noticed is that the intake is much louder now, but is a good thing...there might be a bit more throttle response while rolling, but i dont notice any while stopped, i mean rolling at like above 40 or so.

In that pic, you can see the 3 hoses I added. They went down and forward as far as I could fit them. They allow the K&N to breathe alot better than the dinky OEM snorkel in the fender.
This is the inside of the front of the airbox. Looking forward.
