I'd hate to cover my red intake pipe, it looks too nice all polished up. If they sold that heat wrap in red I'd consider it. And I'd take it off for show. 
I'll have to check this crossover heat shield idea out. Will, do you think I can modify the Series 2 to fit mine? It can't be too different, right? I'll check their site now.
