Well, my gas mileage improved by a whopping 1 mpg
im now getting 13.3 mpg. Thats the same as the 05 Hemi Jeep i drove today. !!
O/D is working correctly now as is the TCC lockup. It locks at the factory settings (46mph?) I wonder if I should replace the o2 sensor. Its was reading correctly, but its still the OEM sensor at 168K. My mpg in the city before the trans build was 16mpg. Is a 3mpg loss from the gear change realistic? Or is something else going on? I have about 2200 mi on the motor and about 700 mi on the trans. Do they need more time to break in?

13 is a lil poor, but not that far off "normal" i had a 180 in a couple weeks ago and i was pretty consistantly between 14 and 15 city.

I gave ryan all my specs. It has been pretty cold here lately . In the 20'* or so. I may put that o2 sensor in for the heck of it. But I hope to see some better numbers once some miles get on the motor and the weather warms up.

I get better mileage then that with my car (well I can get better mileage if I keep my foot out of it.)
Ed
I generally tell people if their O2 is over 60k miles old, or they don't know how old it was when they bought the car, and their fuel mileage is low, change it.
O2 sensors tend to get a little lazy and tired at around 50-60k. They RARELY throw a check engine light, typically only when there is complete and total sensor failure.
You should be on your 3rd sensor by now.
