Default Installed my Sinister Chip!

Well, I put my custom Sinister chip in today. First thing I noticed is that my intermittent lose of O/D and lack of TCC lockup is now gone. And you can really feel that TC lock in now. This is one of the best shifting transmissions I have ever owned. Second thing is that I have 17* spark advance @ idle and as much as 33* @ WOT. I also have 2* knock @ WOT. This was with 89 octane. After I left the shop today I put a bottle of Lucas Octance boost in the 1/2 tank of 89 and topped it off with 93. I will try again on Monday with the better gas. Im trying to remember what my specs were before the chip? I think it was 16* spark advance @ idle and 27* @ WOT ?? I believe I had 2* knock before too. Maybe Crash93ssei remembers?

Yeah.. I remember that transmission shift *drool*

I remember that there was 0* KR at WOT, but 2* during the 2-3 and 3-4 shift. it was also colder then **** outside too....

I dunno, but I thought we both had more advance at idle and you had something like 15* or so advance at WOT, I'm not %100 sure on that though.

Definatly glad to hear it is all good though

My knock was also at the 2-3 shift @WOT on this one too. I also noticed that the more I drove it, the more responsive it got. I guess the PCM had to relearn itselft again. The biggest thing for me is that now the tranny work correctly. Hopefully, this should solve my 12.5mpg average.

That was what it peaked at for a split second. It was kinda jumping around. I was also running solo at the time so I couldnt consentrate too much on the scanner. I guess this means we need to get another mini-meet

Nice. I use to be able to run 36* of timing all the way up to 6600 rpm with no KR.
But at 33* you've really pushing the point of diminishing returns.
I know it'* been dyno proven, I just can't remember where I saw it.

I wonder if I would see any improvement with MSD coils at this point?

They won't do much of anything. These motors have been put into the 8s and 9s with stock coils. (The slightly hotter L67 ones)
I swapped those in and it just smoothed out the mid range.
