Default Installed CAI today!!!

I got my ricer pipe from Autozone last week. I couldn't find a k&N until I saw the thread about using the E-1009 from autozone. I hooked it up by cutting the 4" side of my old rubber TB hose then I sat the 3" ricer pipe with hose inside the 4" TB hose then I tightnd clamp. This sucked and didn't stay in. Plus my 0-60 had dropped. I then went to Home Depot plumbing dept and got a rubber that was 4" on 1 side and 3" on other. This worked great. My car got a lil faster. My Beltronics Vector tells me I'm doing 0-60 in 6.88 and 7plus seconds now and my best run w/o CAI was 8.03.

8.03 to 6.anything is a bit off kilter, bud. You won't get anywhere near that kind of performance from any CAI on any car.

You'll feel better throttle response and gain maybe 5hp, though. Now get a heat shield in the works.

That should have made a .2 (two tenths) difference 0-60 at best.
