Going to MSD coils won't get you anything. Cars pushing 700HP at the crank are using stock coils. The DIS4 box will give you power, becuase you can set the timing.

Think about why all the L27'*, L36'* and Series 1 L67'* use one coil, but the 96+ L67 uses a different one

Your old Delta has the Type I system I'll take it.... You need a type 2 system from a car with the same engine... It would need to be a Vin 3 with the Type II ignition system... The newer units that were used on the 3800 are keyed diffrent, so they will not plug in... Good Luck
BTW for ECM parts cross reference LG2, LG3, LC2 then use the ECM #'d 1227148
