I finally did it.

One heatrange colder. I don't have the part number handy, don't have a listing for it, and can't find my reciept. Just go to the dealer and ask for it. They should have it in the warehouse, no more than overnight.

10° of KR is still enormous.

Buy NGK TR55 V-powers. One heatrange colder than stock.

Yeah that'* why i'm thinking about going with a 2.3 pulley since i've still got a jet chip stage 2 on order.

Forget the Jet for now. Kill as much KR as possible. Fix the EGR stovepipe leak, and look for exhaust manifold cracks. Do everything you can to kill KR first. THEN think about a larger pulley.

Ok here'* the latest. I've fixed the EGR pipe and redid my CAI. I've got about 4 degrees of knock and now my latest question is. I installed my JEt chip tonite and nothing seems any different. I didn't undo the battery when I installed it. It'* off right now and I was wondering if it'* necessary to disconnect the battery for the new computer to learn itself? BTW the stock chip will be going back in if I still have knock reduction as I've got a couple of things left to do before it will be ready to stay in.

Disconnect your battery. The Jet will need 100 miles or so after that to 'learn'.

The chip itself cannot cause KR.

Also I was wondering if ordering my Jet Chip from Summit Racing makes a difference from ordering directrly from JEt. I mean are the same perameters adjusted or not. The shift points should be higher and the limiter removed and stuff like that I was thinking.

The chips should be identical. My 93 now shifts exactly where the 95 did stock.

would the car even run if the chip wasn't installed correctly? I've had it out twice and reinstalled it again. The car seems to shift firmer and that'* about the only difference I can see with the chip. The speed limiter is still there and the shift points seem the same. The car is running good now and I'm still trying to get rid of a little KR. The IAT needs to be relocated after looking at it also.

Shift points should be higher, and your speed limiter should be gone.

Contact Jet with your questions directly. That'* the best avenue. Make sure you know your serial number off the piggyback module before calling or emailing them.

Willwren what speeds does your car car shift out of gear in both performance and normal shift modes? I'm thinking the shift points are higher it'* just shifting faster than I realize it. Also I think the reason my limiter isn't removed is because it'* bouncing off the 3rd gear limiter and i'm not letting it shift back into 4th to go the rest of the way.
