So you must have figured out the KS module, huh? I know I have to switch mine, I imagine you probably had to do the same for yours. Did Intense send instructions for you? Also, do they specify any kind of "break in" procedure?

There was already a KS module on it.

No instructions either.

I let it idle for a while, and drove it very nicely for a while too. I have had no problems.

It doesn't matter if there is a module already in it or not. You need the one from your original PCM for your timing and everything to be accurate. I'm suprised you haven't gotten a SES light. Thats why the 97'* don't need a case learn, because the case learn is in that module. I know one of the negatives of not having a case learn is that the PCM can be off on the timing 2 degrees either way, so you could be getting 2 more or 2 less degrees of timing than you think.

I'm real glad Intense didn't mention that when they sent me the PCM.

I guess I'll be doing this tomorrow.

Switching back to your old one is a moot point now.... the position of the crank has changed, so the data stored in the old module is useless. If you want to be absolutely sure at this point you'll have to have a CASE learn done. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Well, 97'* don't need a CASE learn, so would it really hurt to go back to the old module? Or should I just keep what'* in there now?

The case learn is dead simple.
You have the Tech II scanner close at hand.
Just do it.

When I got my INTENSE unit, it came with instructions.

I won't be home for a couple of weeks.

Is this gonna hurt anything?

The car drives fine, and it performs well.

I really wish I had the instructions. That makes me angry.

Now you know why is was on sale.

Sorry for laughing.

I shouldn't hurt anything.
It took me a couple of weeks to get my Case learn done.
Just don't go full throttle with shifts above 4000 rpm.
I know it will be hard to do. :(
