I'm a little confused about this radius the show wants. :? If they are refering to the ID, intake diameter, then from what you said you want 3.5 inches.
Get the pipe in a 18 inch length, 6" on one side of the bend, 10 on the other. This should give you plenty of pipe length to play with. And when you have it the way you want, just chop off any excess.

well i called like every exhaust shop around here and they dont even mess with anything above 3 inch...but i did call a place that messes with like big trucks and whatnot and the guy said he had some 3.5 inch pre-bent in stock but that it was alumized so it could rust and cause problems...do you think theres any possibillity of it rusting and flaking off into the TB and whatnot? he said hed look at some of their turbo diesel piping and see what he could do and he said hed call me back but hasnt yet....and that was like 4 hrs ago. so i guess ill call back.

bottom line...should i worry about it rusting? its a 12 by 12 piece with a 45 degree bend....just what i need.....well it can be made to be just what i need.

It won't rust if you get a coating on it. Performance Coatings coated the inside of my intake pipe.

well i called the guy back and i guess i misunderstood him....he has 3.5 STRAIGHT pipe...but he cant bend it....he said he hadnt heard back from his supplier about a 45 bend 8x8 piece. which probly wouldnt work anyway....and then i asked him how much that would cost...at he said 35-40 AT LEAST!!! theres no way im paying that much!!! but i guess you paid that much didnt you.....what really makes me mad is i can find pre-bent pipes all the way up to 3 inch and then from 4 inch on...all for really cheap online...but no 3.5....and if im keepin the accordian tube a 3inch wouldnt work right.....GAH!!! *throws fit*

3" will flow more then enough for your motor. 45* is the appropriate bend as well. Make sure you get a coupler with whatever you plan on doing.

You don't want 3.5". You'll actually slow the flow. 3" will increase velocity.

Example: Turn on a water hose. Then plug the opening half-way, the velocity increases, the water moves faster. The same applies for the intake tube.

haha i havent even thought of heatwrap yet, im assuming ill get at somewhere like Home Depot or Lowes or something like that, some sort of flexible insulation that does well with heat....im not sure exactly.

anywho...i dont think 3 inch pipe will fit well into the stock tube, wouldnt it crimp the rubber and make a bad connection? i wish 3 inch would work though. cause i already found a 3 inch pipe for 15 bucks....in 45 or 40 degree bends....well and 90 too but i need 45....or i wonder how a 40 would work?

ill measure tonight but i dont think 3 inch would work properly, any thoughts?

3" does work, it'* what the Rice pipe is, and what many people here have done. I know macho_mike has done it, and he'* got an L36 as well.

I know for an L27 the actual angle you need is 47*, but isn't the S2 TB cocked funny to the front?
