how to gut airbox in 01 SSEi

i was wondering if anyone had any pics of how they gutted there airbox on an 01 ssei and if the relocated the PCM

just get a CAI or FWI or slap on a cone filter. u dont need the box. ur PCM wont go nowhere.

most of us with 2000+ buy the FWI kit from

I ran a gutted box for a while. I took it apart and then used my jig saw to cutout the entire inside baffles and then opened up the inlet from that small circle to a bigger opening. Worked very well. Then I put in a K&N stock size filter.
