It will cost you prob. a little more, but you will be supercharged and you will have whine!!!! Downside to that is that no one has done it in a Bonne (yet!). Another thing you can do that I don't know why no one has even pointed at is turbo'n there car. You will have to shell out anywhere from $2500-$4500 but you will easily be in the 13'* if not 12'*.
Wow, I actually didn't know that ZZP was in the 12s with their NA car. That'* a quick automobile, folks. But the point of my previous post was just to say that with $2000 and an L27, you probably won't make it past the 14s with pure engine power (i.e. no nitrous or power adders). I would guess you'd have to spend more than that to have an NA Series 1 that reliably and consistently runs in the 13s. I could be wrong, as I'm fairly new to this car stuff. I just think it would take a little more than two grand. It really isn't important at this stage in the game though. Sorry if I'm sidetracking!

Remember, he'* not supercharged, so even with a couple thousand dollars you're looking at 14s, maybe high 13s. The fastest Series 2 NA car from Intense only runs in the 13s, and it'* a Grand Prix. If you want speed, look into an L67 or else an NA performance rebuild with a stroker crank and high compression. But Twister'* right; think of the stock Bonnevilles out there right now that you can beat!
i wouldnt say that.... nitro makes loads of power....
the downside of nitro is that it isnt safe for ur engine

Yeah ZZP'* is into the 12'*, not the low 12'*, but I think 12.6'* IIRC with their stroker GT. Now, it has extensive work done to it. A huge cam, the stroker kit bumping it up to 4.1 liters, race tranny, intake, exhaust, PCM, injectors, electric WP, a few other things as well, and massive weight reduction. But with some work, these engines are capable of making some good power.

With the HD upgrade Intense sells suite him, or is he looking at a whole net setup for his transmisison? For CmptrNerd Im talking about, if he wants to run in the low 14'* constantly...

Definately a lot more than $4k invested in that. The stroker kit alone is close to $2k. Then it has a tranny worth close to $3k. Then that doesn't include intake or exhaust work, valvetrain, PCM, and all that. It adds up quick.

So can I do any of those tranny mods? Id have to strike it rich to do exactly what I want. I dont think my engine is in good enough condition to be going that fast. What I want to do though is buy a completely brand new engine and transmission and get going with those mods but thats never going to happen so you guys can stop giving me ideas :(
