Default Help please!

I read through like a gazillion threads but I can't find what I am looking for...
I have two questions.
I am trying to find pics/instructions on gutting my air box. It'* on a 95 SE. I took out the baffle on the half closer to the headlight, do I gut the other half too? And if I do, how do I take it off so it will be easier to do? And, should I put holes in the front for better flow, any particular size or location seem beteer than others?
I have a pic of what I did, I'll put on when I can.
And I know I should get a K&N filter, just waiting for the money...and the okay for the wife. Trying to explain the economic benefits, but I am not sure she believes me.
Second question, I am going to be putting on new plugs and wires next weekend, what should I get? Can't seem to find that on here, I am sure it is here somewhere, but I just don't know where.
Thanks.

Yes gut the backside of the box as well. If you did the front..it'* bascially the same.

In the front, the opening where the air comes in is a hole in the larger rectangular area...cut out the rectangle to enlarge the opening.

Plugs are pretty standard, being NA you can get NGK TR55'*, Delco'* and on and on..stay away from Bosch and you are ok.

Belden Premium wires from NAPA. And any NGK or AC Delco plug you prefer. Either copper or Irridium.

I personally prefer the NGK V-Power plug. You would need the TR55 gapped at .060".

As far as the economy of the K&N, consider the cost of each replacement air filter at a minumum of every 15,000 miles vs. the cost of a properly maintained and regularly cleaned K&N over the expected life of the vehicle.

You can also try a post in the "Wanted" section, as sometimes people have their old K&N drop-ins lying around and can get one to you for much less than new.

Here'* what I have found for the plugs and wires

NAPA -Wires- Belden Premium - $35.49 Plugs-AC Delco $2.09

Advance Auto - Wires - AutoLite Pro $31.88 Plugs - NGK V Power - $ 1.77

Auto Zone - Wires - Bosch $ 32.99 Plugs - AC Delco - $ 1.99

I am considering going with the Belden wires and the NGK plugs.
Does that seem like a good decision? I don't mind driving to two different stores, they are not too far apart.
As far as the airbox, I'm gonna get in there later today as soon as my daughter wakes up form her nap. She is in the same room as my tools.
Thanks again.

I went with the Autolite Pros on my 95. Very nice..and lifetime. Why not do them and the V powers at the best price?

Here, if your airbox looks like mine, then these pics might help:

Thanks, so far I have done the fornt and that is exactly what I did. I wanted to do the back half but my wife didn't want me to do it. She is one of those people who doesn't like new and different things. Still tryin to convince her.
Altleast I know that I am on th right track. I really appreciate the help.
One thing I am still not certain about...how do I remove the back piece form the car to make it easier to work on?

Maybe I will do that. I certainly wouldn't mind saving another $4 dollars. I just kinda figured it would be worth the extra money. If there is no difference, then I will save the money, not to mention the gas and time.

? There'* a band clamp on the accordian tube. Loosen that and gently remove the accordian tube from the box. If it has never been removed, it may seem stuck at first. Just flex the rubber around and it will release. I don't recall that there was anything more to it than that.
