Default Heads Up Display add on ?

I just bought a 2000 SLE, sweet car exceptI I miss some of the options that were on my 94 SSE. Such as the Heads Up Display and the auto dimming mirror. The mirror is no problem, you just need a power and ground wire, but what about the HUD? Has anyone done this or will I be the first? Any help or sugestions would be great.

Unless you are an electrical engineer dont attempt it. There are many factors that come into play. new dash pad, special coated windshield, the adjustments etc....

The guys will be in here shortly to help

It'* been done. To an 88, no less. You'll need factory wiring diagrams, and alot of patience. The rest of the details are in that thread Mark posted above, including how to get around the windshield problem.

I like to go one further and put it in my Camaro. Now that would be a challange!

You could most likely do it. Just finding the appropriate wires is all you'd really need...

The windshield can be purchased cheaply and the rest will be difficult but i am doing it and I am just a guy who likes to take my dash apart.

Ty, don't buy the windshield. You can have a small portion of the stock WS treated. Much cheaper.
