Tough to say. You don't necessarily feel a difference just from ported heads. But there'* an increase you can feel from all your other mods being able to push more through them.
Add in that I added rockers on top at the same time for a total lift of .579/.592 and yeah.. overall there'* a large difference. (Research very well before you try something like this) The heads themselves didn't actually add power though. They were merely a conduit for the power to flow through.

sorry for not responding yes that is what i was looking for mostly. im just thinkng the way my stupid brain does i need to port the intake and if im half way down i think i should port the heads also... i dont see how it wouldnt add some power i mean if done right you will increase flow more flow more power potential... unless this isnt a weak link on our cars... i have a hard time believing any stock head isnt a weak link but then again i know i have a bit to go before the heads are mine...
how many hours did it take you to port them? did you get a valve job after?

On heads, you can gain by smoothing the roughness of the casting. Rough areas will cause hot spots that add to predetonation. Aka KR.
Smoothing them and milling the valve guides to accept a higher than stock lift is what is considered a stage 2 head.
If you smooth, port and add bigger valves, that'* a stage 3.
IMO if you don't have headers, and plans to go well into the 12'* you won't need to port them much. Go for smoothing the roughness.
I didn't do any heads. Got a set of stage 3'* at a great price and dropped them at a machine shop to be checked.

Think of it this way. Some things add power, like a supercharger or smaller sc pulley. Other things allow more to be added like headers, intake, heads. These allow more or better air flow. What goes in must come out. If not you have a traffic jam.
