It is one of 3 cars to get the HP 3100 in 95...its light and has the handling package as well...The SSEi will smoke it easily, but I have been able to smoke a twin turbo Eclipse with the GP twice...Well at least until it hit the Limiter at 115mph.... I think the reason it feels quicker is its lighter and more nimble....I do know that the rev limiter was removed at one time as I got it as high as 120 (needle started back around again). Then my dad put the wrong tranny fluid in and melted the speed sensor cable causing the shop to reset the computer....

I've had a ride in a 3100 GP and its really not that fast unless you have serious modifications done. That twin turbo eclipse must have been broken or tuned by a 6 year old. Not saying its slow.

However, they can be very fast. Jonpro on here has a turbo 3500 build and IIRC he'* using a 3100 top end. Very capable cars. Those 3100 heads flow considerably better than L67 heads from the factory.

I know how nimble and agile these cars can be. For being 3300lb front wheel drive cars, they take corners extremely well and respond very well to suspension modifications. My 95 Regal is essentially the same car as yours but with different body cladding and an L67, and with extensive suspension modifications it feels like an S2000, and that'* based on what friends have told me after having driven S2000'*.
