Very good points guys. I'm going to leave these unwrapped as everyone has advised. The hood vents should do well in keeping underhood temperatures low.

Oh and have you considered running a fan switch or like on my tgp, I have the secondary fan constantly grounded so the fan turns on at key on.

Just a thought...

Not necessary. Bob is tuning the car so the fan turns on at an earlier point.
