This is a 284. Stronger than the 282, but cost more for parts. Also kinda rare.

Bolt pattern is the same as the 282 so if in the future I need to swap over to it, I can.

Geoff, I wish you good luck in this endeavor. Swapping in another 4T60 was an adventure for me, but you're going far above and beyond a simple swap. I hope everything works well for you!

I am slowly making my list of needed parts for this.

Currently looking for:
set of 92-95 axles for playing with.
Also looking for a set of motor mounts
Engine wiring harness for a 92-95
92 Lumina Service Manual

Would like to spend as little as possibly. Would consider worn/old axles just to take measurements from. I am working on getting a parts car too to use for mock up, so hopefully that will have the parts I need for the actual parts.

I would like to ask no one bid on the 1995 SSEi in Cortland, NY on ebay as that'* the one I am trying to get cheap (and it'* only 1/2 hr away) I will be parting it when I am done with it.

OMG that pic made me a happy boy! Make a writeup, and i'll be all over it.

I was missing my 3rd pedal today.. I'd love to feel the 3800'* power mechanically driving the wheels instead of thru some silly fluid in an autotragic slushbox.

Hey, Geoff-buddy, if that'* going into the SSEi, you might want to take a look around and find out what your options are for beefier clutch pieces, cause that thing was never intended for 275lb-ft. It'll take it without exploding, but your clutch life'* gonna be zilch.

Already being looked into. Spec makes a stage 3 clutch for it, although it is expensive (probably will double the cost of the project) or I have another guy in New Haven, CT who can have his friend make me a stage 3-4 equivalent for around $300-400. Should be good for 300-400lb-ft
