Ok. Got impatient. Took out just the front of the airbox. The inlet part. Not much noise difference at all. Im wondering if it is worth taking the back out or not. The hole will still be only as large as the tube it goes throught to get to the engine. So it seems to be pointless. Could be wrong.
My box comes up real close, but not all the way to the part of the frame at the front of the engine. Im considering insulating to the right of the box and adding some tubing of some sort the direct the flow to the hole that goes through the frame.
Anyone ever insulated to the right of a stock box or ran tubing in the front portion of the car?

Don't hate me guys..I've been planning it but didn't get there yet. I am waiting to get some tubing from a junkyard.
Mechanic Dan was working on a Dodge van and it had an awesome factory tube to get air from the front to the air cleaner under the doghouse.. I want one of them...it'll flex and do a great job for ducting.
