Anyone use, know someone who uses these meters. I am wanting to do some baseline testing of things I do to car and think this would be a close way to check hp and other gains. Input good/bad and other ideas if any.

What are the major reasons you have for wanting one or your plans for using one.

Gtech == fun toy, but little more. Spend your money on a good scantool instead.
For hp and tq peak values, they're worthless garbage. I've owned 3 different models including the new RR.
For identifying shift points vs. hp or tq peak, they're fairly useful.
They are also worthless for characterizing before/after of mods. They are horribly inaccurate in thier hp/tq calculations.
To clarify:
Horsepower or Torque PEAK VALUES are very inaccurate.
The rpm that your peak hp or tq is delivered is accurate, but not very useful to most.
1/4 mile times are all over the map even after doing hot/cold laboratory calibrations. Don't waste your money. Spend it on a scantool or mods instead.
