Default Gtech

I am thinking of buying a gtech pro meter. For those who have one, are they worth it? And out of curiosity, how much does a 1994 ssei wieght?

My 1995 SSEi weighs in at 3550 (weighed in on a full size scale).

I also have a G-tech Pro and I like it. I haven't used it much but just keep this in mind. It will give you only a ballpark figure for the times and power rateings. It is a good way to judge differences in the things you do to your car. You can see if a mod actually helped or harmed the performance.

I agree. It'* very difficult to set up perfect. You won't get perfectly accurate times/data from it, but it'* close.

The Gtech pro competition is worth it, but takes a lot of messing around with to get right. My 94 SSE is listed as 3587lb, doesnt the 95 SSEi weigh a little more with the SC?

It might weigh more, but here is how I weighed mine....

Me and a buddy went to a rock query in the area to pick up a small amount of stone for some landscapeing that I was doing. First thing they have you do when you get there is weigh your car on this scale (including occupants and everything). I then loaded up with the rock pieces and got weighed again. They charge you for the difference in weight at the price per pound for that particular type of rock. Anyways, I knew how much me, me friend, and the car weighed together. When we got back to my place we weighed ourselves to see how much we weighed. It came out to be 3550 on the nose after we subtracted driver and passenger weight. This weight includes my spare tire and sub box as well.

I know it gives you ballpark figures but is it consistant? With the same mods on the same runs are the numbers the same everytime?

On my way to Justin'* place a couple months ago (when I filmed that huge Greenzilla vid) I weighed my 93 SSEi. There'* a still in the video that shows my weight at an EXACT 4000 pounds. Full tank, me, spare, jack, and about 100 pounds of stuff in the trunk.

The three runs with my Gtech were made with full street trim about 2 weeks before that video was shot, and they varied from 14.475 to 14.8 seconds. My trap speeds were consistently just under 100 mph.

I think a 3.25 second variation is pretty extreme. My RPM'* weren't calibrated right, but that should only affect my torque numbers, not my speed or time.
