Good info.
Reading that makes me think that 2.5" exausts on hondas and such aren't such a bad idea. There usually spinning at a much higher rpm and the volume/time ratio will be higher in the exaust.

So, with all said and done, is our stock exhaust optimal, and is my plan on getting a wider down-pipe to loosen up the restriction a pinch going to help or hurt based upon my current mods?

We have a pretty good exhaust from the factory already. 2.5" mandrel bent will go a long way. If you want to improve it, get headers, or a cat/muffler.

3" downpipe will help you out, but if your gonna put one up to the stock exhaust manifolds and have no plans of headers, then i would also recommend portin the manifolds
