Unfortunately, the 3800 is a dying engine. It might not be around much longer. There are a lot of new powertrains coming out that will replace it in the upcoming years.
As for the tranny, it would cost too much to develop a strong tranny for cars that don't really require it.

80% stock with upgraded parts are probably very similar, if not identical to the INTENSE unit. Note the 3rd Clutch comment....a definite weak link besides the shaft splines, differential and torque converter.
For +$5000 you too can have one.
