Read closely, it'* a racing tranny. Probably simliar to what Intense or ZZP does to their setups.

Right, but what do they all change. Outside of the 3rd clutch, and even though not mentioned, I guarantee a different differential, what else do they really change? If this is the case, could we not get away with just changing out diffs for $400. and call it a done deal instead of spending $4,000. on an entire aftermarket tranny?

I also clicked on another link on their press releases where the mentioned ecotec is a formiddable force at the Bonneville salt flats, and they list two people for contact information. Anyone here think they have a shot at prying info from these guys?

funny they can make that transmission handle all that power yet the real production 4t65E can barely handle the stock 3800S/C without destroying itself.

Is Gm crazy? no.. They just know how to make money.

Quoting INTENSE, "The indestructible INTENSE™ input shaft is used in GM'* Ecotec-powered 8-second FWD Sunfire drag race car. "

So it looks like GM uses similar hard parts that Intense and ZZP would use. And with GM'* magical engineering, I'm sure they could easily make it handle the power.
