Hmm, it looks like my intake does suck (well). But I do need to seal it up around the hole a bit. In other words, there are spaces between the three hoses going into my airbox. Should I seal these? Or just leave them as a semi-closed system.

close them to make sure the cold air has nowhere else to go.

Yup. Close them. Don't pull in engine bay heat if you can help it.

Willwren just a quick question for ya, how does the system run in the winter? I know that around Chicago, ice forms easily. Should i take off the tubes during the winter time? What do youi reccomend?

You may have to pull air from the engine bay in the winter. Have you considered a removable plug, or pulling your hoses out then? Depends on how protected the intake end of your hoses are.

You know I think I will just buy a stock intake box from a junkyard, and put that in for a winter intake.

Or better yet I can buy the ADTR intake/ try to make one from a civic intake. By then I should have the funds to afford that. One of those does not stand much chance of sucking water right?

If it does suck water, it'* not a bad thing. Water injection has it'* benefits. I doubt the intake or filter could freeze in the engine bay.

'specially since the intake is right next to the hot coolant tube...

Hmm, funny. I was at Autozone today, and I saw an intake pipe for about $40. I think it was for an integra. Anyway, I bought it and will try it tommorow. The filter is not included, so I will have to pick one up somewhere.
