Patient is not quite the adjective I would use to describe how I have been feeling while waiting the last 8 months.
Persistent......stubborn.....flaming angry.....unrelenting.......just to name a few.
Jeff of Engineering Performance shipped it to me free of charge and I didn't have to pay for a core thanks to Ty of Domestic Performance.
It'* not so much how much power can go to each wheel as it is how much the differential is allowed to spin when it reacts to one wheel spinning. It acts like a planetary gear. When both wheels are turning at the same speed, the spider gears do not rotate inside it and the pinion does not see any friction. But when traction is lost and one wheel starts to spin, the differential unit spins causing the spinning wheel to spin at twice the speed as it normally would if both wheels were spinning. When the diff spider gears spin inside trani fluid, they do not lubricate well and over heat. This will cause the unit to fail or wear out prematurely. It is really only meant to react to differential wheel speeds during turning when the wheel speeds are not that different.
That is probably not the best explaination. Google it for a better one......it'* late and I'm tired.
