Well, I didn't find Gordy'* post...I guess you are wanting to caution about going too big and reducing flow velocity.

I can't find it. Recently SSEi95 who did a 3" exhaust mentioned it wasn't all it was cracked up to be.

There'* a link in there w/some sound clips. Just be aware that sound clips are relative and actual results may differ in real life...

The 3" Exhaust will Kill your low end torque....2.5" (what you have now) is pleanty

I had 3" mandral bent with a magnaflow muffler and cat/res delete. It did real well in the high end but I did loose a little low end. I'd say 2.75 is plenty for the high end modded engine (atleast the kind we see here on BC) and 2.5 is best for most. I'd also leve a highflow cat in.

You need no more than a 3" mandrel bent downpipe (can be custom made)
and a high flow cat.
