Ok so as you know I had my resonator taken off. So sometimes I'll drive the car and it will be SOO loud, its cool but it gives me a headache when I'm at highway speeds. Other times it will be as quiet as when I had the resonator on. So I cant decide whether or not to put the resonator back on. I love the noise so much its just too loud sometimes and I don't even know why. I also wonder if getting a 3 inch exhaust from the cat-back would make it any quieter (or do anything to the sound at all....)

So if anyone knows if this is normal, bad, whatever please fill me in. :?

Does the sound level have anything to do with how long you've been driving? My exhaust seemed more quiet once things were heat soaked.

I've thought of that and no, not in my case, thought the outside temp played a role but I guess not.

u must have some sort of leak sometimes.... like the joint between the pipe u put in and the rest of the exhaust is coming undone sometimes......taking a resonator out should not make it loud sometimes and quiet at others. it should be the same volume all the time

IDK maybe its all in my head, but I watched the exhaust guy welds the system together an I now thats secure. i hate it when I get these wierd problems that no-one has ever heard of.
