My question was more of replacement of a high flow resonator rather than a resonator delete. I've never looked inside of one before.

Thanks for the info.

Default Finished product

SWEEEETTT!!! Put the Magnaflow resonator on (22") and I went with the SLP 2.5" exhaust tips ($60 ea.):

Much quieter in the cabin and I noticed more boost because of the increased back pressure! Thanks for the recommendation!

Not sure how to post pics here, so I used URLs. Here are the pics as promised:

Default The hits just keep on coming

So, I replaced the cat because it was rattling. I replaced the muffler because the baffles were bad. I replaced the tips because I broke them off. I replaced the resonator because it was too loud and not enough back pressure.....now, the flex pipe has developed a leak.

I would like to go with some performance headers and flex pipe if possible. I found a set on www.3800performance.com (the Other Guys Exhaust), but it is a weld job (to the cat). Does anyone have a recommondation for headers that are a bolt-on application?

PEM = Ported Exhaust Manifolds.

People take the factory manifolds, stitch weld any cracks, and grind out the insides to smooth the airflow and open up the factory castings to breathe better. Ultimately they should flow about the same as headers. People here who have them can tell you what type of gains they get with them.

A new issue has arose (sorry if this should start a new thread).
There seems to be an exhaust leak coming from the cat / resonator area, however, I had Midas look at it for free. Yes Midas.....it was free. While the car was up and running at idle, they showed me there were no leaks. If I break torque it, the exhaust is loud and sounds baffled, but not like the sound of air sputtering through a cracked weld or broken gasket. They suggested it might have something to do with the resonator. Any suggestions?
