Great project!
I read a thread on a Fiero site about some one was tauffing a N* in the back with equal length headers.

Since I cant post links to other car site because you will all instantly sell your Bonneville'* and buy whatever other car, I will post pics from that site.

Have you started on the rear header yet? I am going to get measurements of the space back there this weekend and then start designing it.

I'm as far as I was last in that thread.

I just made the jig for it with a TOG rear header and DP since that'* what I have on the car now. It will be easy compare the jig to the firewall/tunnel/rack/trans tail etc. and go from there.

How do you plan on designing it? Did you already look up assorted mandrel bend kits so you get an idea of the [email protected] radius are available?

I am doing everything in solidworks, I am going to render as much of the entire engine bay as I can, paying close attention to the fire wall and drivers side frame fender areas.

I did a quick render of the front , but I assume it will have to be changed to clear something. . . . most likely the #5 spark plug. . . . . .

Where did you get your merge collectors??

I found a guy in ebay making custom ones and I messaged him. It'* been a while though.

What I'm getting at is.. You can model equal length long tubes fairly easily. But, how do you know the bend radii you used when modeling is available for the given bends? There'* a small window when it comes to available bend radii.

I'm assuming you aren't going to have custom bends made due to cost and I'm also assuming that you're intending to use separate sections and weld them together since mandrel bending machines can only make 2 bends tops per section of pipe.

Also, I know it was a quick render but it looks like the plane the header flange is on is orthogonal to the exit plane of the collector. This would have the collector pointing up at an angle.
