Randman did a series 2 SC swap into a 90 B'ville. I assisted. Only one I'm aware of, and yes you admitted to messing up.

We've all messed up, you happened to do better than some others and not as good as some.

I am sorry to hear the motor died though. It does suck, I almost did that the first day I owned my 95 due to cluster issues. And yes the DIC was screaming at me, I didn't know and thought it was complaining about the reading on the gauges. Finally I heeded it'* advice and shut'er down.

Can I merely ask totally joking, Where you trying to save a 1/2 pound w/o the belt?

Nah the belt just slipped and was kind of resting on the engine mount. So I didnt have that half pound weight advantage when I torched this Kia at a light.

Its possible.

97-99 engine, trans, PCM and wire harness. If you can get a SSEi from those years I would just take the whole front subframe off (which will include the motor mounts, tanny, and 1/2 the front suspension. That subframe should bolt right up to your car.

Ok I found a motor.

Are the 4t65E and 4t65E HD Transmissions the same? Does the HD just have beefier parts?

Do I need to get the HD Transmission or will the 4t65e work ok with it for now? I dont intend on doing mods for a while I just want to get back on the road

Oh yeah I know itll be better in the long run since it was designed to handle the extra horsepower.

Im just short on Money to do both Trans and Engine.

As much as I love my car If I gotta change the trans and engine thats enough for a good down payment for another car.

Honestly, I would do both. Not sure how the PCM would handle the Non-HD tranny, although it should get you by. You could also do as you stated and put the money towards a SSEi as there are decent priced ones out there.

If you check out Copart.com I think it is and know a mechanic or dealer who can buy from the auction, you could get yourself a real good deal on a whole car to do the swap with.

Yeah, I'm personally amazed at how little Bonnevilles are selling for. I'd nudge you to take a serious look at what'* available in the used market. If anything ever happened to mine, I think I'd just go get another one.

(Saw a sweet 2000 SLE at my dealer'* last week, Silver. Mmmmmmm.)
