ha! take a high torque motor, gear it to give the right cfm for wot, leave it at that. the other thing i figured out... you can't put a slide switch on a motor... something about it burns it up... that'* no fun.we need to get ahold of a cfm curve for the L27.... someone must have it. then build something to push harder than the engine pulls, gaining like what? 10 hp? i like this one alot and i'd like to see it all calc'd out and figured for sure if it will work.

we might be able to use that. the eaton has like 100 - 450 cfm, so if we can get that out of an electrical unit.... maybe we've got something...
but how does the eaton relate to a non sc 3800?
if 100 cfm is the inlet flow to the sc, what would it need to be for the inlet of a l27?

if the eaton take so much power to run, why not look at a different type of SC? I know turbos are made to have very low friction tolerances, does anyone know about Centrifugal SCs?

could a "squirel cage" type fan be used?
i've felt the intake flow of my car and i know i've got squirel cage fans from furnaces and the like that can top it.

they could probably tripple it, but the are like 15*15*18, are there smaller version available? because i think that would work...

measured the car, airbox area is 9.5*10*9 l*w*h from the drivers side... might be tight. i'm finding alot of range hoods can do 450cfm, so i'll call my local appliance repair to see some units.

the motor doesn't have to be d/c, an electrical inverter converts DC to AC, i figure one of these fans runs at like 100w.. that'* a very cheap inverter. i think my boss has an old range hood fan i can have, custom install, have to rebulde the filter box for space, might end up looking insanley cool.
