Performance, Brainstorming & Tuning Talk about modifications, or anything else associated with performance enhancements. Have a new idea for performance/reliability? Post it here. No idea is stupid! (please use Detailing and Appearance for cosmetic ideas)

EGR delete.... what's involved?

two quick questions for you. Does your method set off the SES light?
What performance increase did you notice?

With the method of capping the EGR bung on the manifold and putting a small filter on the tube going into the actual EGR, it shouldn't set a code as the EGR is still detecting flow. Blocking it off completely will set a "low or no EGR flow" code. That'* just a thought. I don't know how these crazy GM'* work.

No it will not set an SES... Hell you could even block off both ends (LIM and rear manifold) and strap that EGR anywhere under the hood and it wouldn't set an SES as long it was still plugged in (electrical connection).

No SES light....as the others have said.
No noticeable change, other than the cleanliness benefit, but it might have made a difference in 100 F weather when I ran the 3.1" pulley and was the quickest in the WCBF drag event.
